Special Report - Food storage not just for Disasters

The number one misconception about Food Storage is...
that you will only need it when there is some sort of Natrual Disaster. We would hope that the recent economic crisis that we're in will dispell this rumor. Time and time again here at YourFoodStorage.com we have people contact us thanking us for our unbeatable prices because they have had to rely on their food storage on more than one occassion.

Uncertain Economic times call for Special Preperation
We've all seen the news lately, in fact we're probabally sick of hearing about it. The stock market went down another 400 points or the Housing market accross the country is hitting historic lows. As a result of the economic failures in the US, the Unemployment rate is skyrocketing.

Recent reports show that unemployment rates have hit a 14 year high and are on the rise. "Employers slashed jobs from one end of the economy to the other in October, pushing the unemployment rate to 6.5%. That's the highest level in more than 14 years, and makes a deep recession a virtual certainty."

"Employers shed 240,000 jobs in October, and the toll in September was far worse than previously reported -- 284,000, up from an initial reading of 159,000."

"The economy must normally create about 100,000 jobs a month just to keep pace with population growth. So far this year, the economy has shrunk by nearly 1.2 million jobs, the Labor Department said."

"Jared Bernstein, a labor economist with the Economic Policy Institute, noted that job losses were a lagging' phenomenon. That is, unemployment tends to peak well after the economic shocks that cause it, and takes longer to abate even after the economy recovers.

"He noted that the lag had lengthened in recent business cycles, with it taking roughly two years after a recession was over for the economy to regain the lost jobs." (http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/front/la-fi-jobs8-2008nov08,0,7272359.story)

So, if predictions are true and often times they are, many more americans will lose their job before our economy "turns around." No one know who it will hit or when it will hit so the need to be prepared is ever important.

How can food storage help me if I've lost my job?

When someone loses their job, obviously money is tight. Wouldn't it be nice if you had a reserve of food to help you get through financially until you find another job? That's what having a supply of food storage can do for you. As we mentioned previously, we have received countless emails from people who have unexpectedly lost their job and had to rely on their food storage for the sustanance.

Why wait until its too late and you don't have the money? We'll tell you why, because, like most people, we tell ourselves, "it will never happen to me". Well many americans also said that the Housing Market would never crash and look!

It's always a good rule to be prepared because none of us know what will happen in these uncertain economic times.

Our recommendations for preparing for your family Security & Piece of Mind...

5 things you can do NOW to prepare for these Uncertain economic times ahead

  1. Make a Plan -
It is always a good idea to have a so-called "road map" (maybe road map is out dated so we should say GPS System, anyway) to where you want to go. Plan a family night where you all sit down together and talk about the current situations that are facing our economy and analyze your personal situations and then make a "what if" plan (make sure to plan for several differnt "what ifs")
  2. Start Small -
If you can't get prepared all at once, that's okay. Now that you have your plan, stick to it. Little by little you can acheive your overall Preparedness Goals. Because we know that not everyone can go out and purchase their year supply of food in one sitting (even though YourFoodStorage.com has the lowest prices on the Internet), we've put together a 0% financing option where you buy as you go. Click Here for details...
  3. Start with the Necessities -
If you lost your job today and had NO Income, what could you absolutely NOT LIVE WITHOUT? (Hint, NO, it's not your Cable) Food and Water... These are the necessities of life. We know it doesn't sound right or even fun, but you can live a long time without your favorite cable shows, but not with out food and water.

All over the country you are hearing about Food Banks running out of food, so please don't fall into the false sense of security that someone else will take care of you. You need to take care of your family, not rely on someone else.
  4. Start saving Money -
We're not just talking about putting some money aside, but cut back on the things that really aren't needed and apply that money to getting yourself prepared. For example, do you really need 10,000 minutes on your cell phone plan or could you get by with "only" 100 channels versus the 500 that you currently have?

If you will cut back in those areas, you can easily put money aside for a rainy day and have your food storage for when you really  need it. Remember, when disaster (losing your job unexpectedly could easily count as a disaster, just ask those who it's happened to) stikes, the time to prepare has past!
  5. Know what's going on -
This is such an important thing, you need to know what is going on around you so you are not taken by surprise. By simply staying informed, you can save yourself a lot of headaches down the line. To that end, YourFoodStorage.com will try to keep you abreast of any factors that may affect you. We want everyone to be prepared for these uncertain economic times that lie ahead.

The food storage we received from you is more than just peace of mind that comes with being prepared for an emergency; the food simply tastes great. We've already caught ourselves snacking on our supply, the banana chips are the best. We now have one year of food storage for both of us and we couldn't be happier.

Thanks

I never thought that I would need food storage. I had a great job and had everything that I needed and wanted. But my wife insisted that we have food storage and so I went along with her thinking that it was foolish. Well, I lost my job 9 months ago and it hit us hard. All I can say is that I am glad that my wife had a food storage supply. It saved our family during those hard times. Thanks YourFoodStorage.com for your wonderful food storage products.

To be completely honest, I hope I never have to use my Food Storage, BUT I don't want to take that chance. I've always been taught that it's better to be safe than sorry. I am grateful for the help that Tim at YourFoodStorage.com provided. We weren't sure what we needed and he helped us choose what was right for our family, and didn't try to sell us more than we needed. Thanks.
