Groates are a whole grain that will store for many years. When sprouted and eaten raw, they provide enzymes, fiber, living energy, and increased nutritional value. Rolled fresh, the vitamins are still present which accounts for the great flavor and texture in cereal, granola, and cookies. The roller drive gears are heat-treated so as to garantee better operation and longer life. The locking clamp and the control handle are made of chrome-plated steel and shockproof plastic. A brush is provided with the machine for cleaning it. A special wonden sieve may also be bought separately for fitting in the plastic collecting basin so as to separate the flour from the bran.The machine is packed in a screen-printed cardboard box wich also contains the instructions for use. This grain mill does not grind hard grains such as wheat or corn. This mill should be used only on soft grains such as groats.
